I am an experienced art teacher offering to visit your programme and teach a two hour art activity to your whole group.

You can choose one of:

– Hobbit House and Garden – This is a good introduction to working with clay and excites the imagination around model making, mythical creatures and natural materials. We will make a clay house and garden and decorate with a wide selection of natural materials such as shells and moss. The hobbit house and garden is on a cardboard tray and finished ready for each participant to take home at the end of the session.

 

–Gone Fishing – A printing, drawing and construction activity in which each participant makes a fishing game (with a rod, a 'water' mat, fish and box) and takes it home to play with others during the holidays.

 

– Printing Radical Robots – A collection of found objects, both industrial and natural are used to print a large robot piece by piece on black paper. Other printmaking activities are also explored to gain an understanding of printmaking and familiarity with how 3D forms can be used to create 2D shapes, texture and patterns.

 

These activities suit all levels of skill and offer interest to both girls and boys
from 5 – 12 years of age.

This includes all materials, preparation, 2 hour teaching session
(plus 3/4 hour setup and ½ hour clean up with staff help).
